What Type of Escape Room Character Are You?

It’s our natural reaction to fall into a specific role when there’s a team dynamic involved, and this is especially true when it comes to escape rooms! Think you can recognise yourself in any of these escape game characters?

The Captain

The captain’s innate leadership skills will keep everyone on track. They’ll set out a plan, delegate tasks, find solutions and act as the group’s peacemaker if and when any arguments break out. They are the voice of reason and a calming presence that you can always look to when the going gets tough!

The Determined Go-Getter

This type of character is a major asset to any escape team. When the chips are down and your chances of escaping in time are looking slim, the go-getter will almost single-handedly drag your team out of deep water with sheer will power and a never-give-up attitude.

The Escape Fanatic

This character is an escape addict and understands the concept inside and out. They’ve completed a countless number of escape rooms around the world, blessing them with knowledge about all the hidden quirks and features that escape rooms have to offer. Nothing surprises them anymore, yet they still can’t stay away from the game they love!

The Brainiac

Also known as: The geek, The Genius, The Know-It-All. This is an individual with a high IQ who can be relied on when puzzles involve arithmetic and logic. They’ll reach into their vast database of knowledge like a supercomputer accessing a file and find the answer to even the trickiest puzzle!

The Teeter-Totter

The person is cursed with indecision. Their role in the team is vague and they can’t decide which puzzle, clue or activity to tackle next. You’d like to think there’s a method to their madness, but there really isn’t – and that’s okay! They give their all and are desperate to help out in any way they can, they’re just not sure how to go about it!
